I love that feeling you lose yourself and all sense of time. Pure bliss. I am lucky that there are many things that can get me to that joyful place; is reading, cooking, making anything, writing, designing, and taking myself out for a walk, hike or jog.
I was looking at the data and surprised to find the most prevalent US hobby is Outdoor Activities (Camping, Hiking, Canoeing) with 30% of Americans on average doing this each year. That number climbs to 60% in Oregon. Those who are interested in photography overlaps heavily with the outdoor activities’ hotspots. The percentage of people who do outdoor activities declines in hotter climates (FL, SC, GA, TX).
I was curious how these numbers shift during the pandemic now that the great US Bake Off has ebbed. Per this recent study, TV streaming tops the list. https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/popular-quarantine-hobbies-by-state-2020-36815733
Which has me curious, what are you enjoying? Reply and let’s see what you found that I missed 😊
Best wishes,
